Boardgames with Iain & Rachel

Around Christmas time, I went over to my mom’s house to play board games with Sophie, my grandfather and his new wife, Rachel. We played Dutch blitz. It’s a fast-moving card game where you need to snatch up cards to make pairs. It took a few rounds to get the hang of it but eventually I managed to win one game. I liked it.

The next game we played was called Pirate and Traveler. The version we played was from 1936. However, the game dates back as far as 1911. It was pretty fun. It was like a combination of Risk meets Pandemic.
